A Lamp and a Light
You will have enough light for the next step.
We do not naturally see where to go.
We do not always know:
what is right
what is safe
what step to take next
That is why we need God’s word.
God’s word is like a lamp to our feet.
It helps us see the next step, right where we are.
God’s word is also a light to our path.
It helps us stay on the right direction, not just one step, but the way we are going.
Without God’s word, we are walking in the dark.
We may still move forward, but we do not really know where we are stepping.
God does not leave us to figure life out on our own.
He gives us His word to guide us.
Psalm 119:105
“Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.”
