The Decision
“I bet my thought was the one,”
Bubbles commented as he hovered next to Poppy.
Poppy smiled.
“You always say that.”
They drifted closer to her computer.
The woman took a breath.
There was enough light
for one step.
She opened a new email
and began to write a brave first sentence.
Bubbles watched closely.
“So this is putting one foot forward?” he asked.
Poppy nodded.
“One foot forward in the lamplight.”
And off they floated, ready for their next adventure.
