Bubbles and Poppy in the Lamplight
Bubbles and Poppy were excited for the big reveal.
“I bet she chose my thought,” Bubbles whispered.
Poppy giggled.
“You always say that.”
They drifted closer to the woman
sitting beneath the lamplight.
The woman stayed in the lamplight
as she opened her computer.
She didn’t have all the answers.
Just enough light
to take the next step.
Poppy smiled.
“Our part is finished.”
Bubbles and Poppy drifted upward
and floated on.
Something to Sit With
Sometimes the next step isn’t bold or heroic.
It’s simply a willing step forward,
still seated with Jesus,
whose word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).
