The Spirit of Truth
We were never meant
to remember alone.
The Holy Spirit is God with us.
He helps us know what is true
and remember the words of Jesus.
Many of us do not begin
by knowing the words of Jesus.
We begin with questions, longing, confusion,
or even pain.
And still, God meets us there.
That is why the Spirit teaches us.
Jesus said the Holy Spirit would
teach us all things
and remind us of His words.
John 14:26
And even after we hear
the words of Jesus,
we still forget.
That is why the Spirit reminds us.
God does not expect us
to hold on to truth
all by ourselves.
He gives us His Spirit
so what Jesus said
can become what we live.
